The Mindfulness Revolution brings information and everyday options to anyone searching a calmer and peaceful approach to life. The principles of yoga and mindfulness are introduced in blog entries with simple tasks that are easy to integrate into life. The aim is to offer simple and easy ways to include yoga and mindfulness into our every busier life.

About Us

Dr Astrid Bernkopf has performed as professional ballet dancer in Austria, Germany, the Czech and Slovak Republics. She studied pedagogies of ballet (MA with distinction) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and holds a PhD in Dance Studies at University of Surrey focusing on ballet narratives. Her interests in dance lay in ballet, dance history, dance analysis and dance criticism. She is Senior Lecturer in Dance Studies at Middlesex University London.


Her journey to yoga was circuitous and led from strengthening to an interest in mindfulness, meditation and the holistic aspects yoga offers. Astrid qualified as Lakshimi Voeckler Chair Yoga Teacher in Nov 2019. July 2020, she completed her Yoga Teacher Training with Black Lotus Yoga Studio and Yoga University. In July 2021, Astrid also qualified as Meditation teacher with Kelly Smith and Yoga for You. In May 2022, Astrid completed her mindfulness-based Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Medicine.


The Mindfulness Revolution has been initiated with a group of friends in 2014 focusing on an exchange of simple gratitude exercises, mindfulness tasks or quotations and hugs. The 2021 rebirth of the project sees an expansion into a podcast. In due time other additional features that focus on body, mind and spirit will become available for booking.
